ROBERT KEEGAN

Robert was born and raised in Rochester, New York where his interest in photography was sparked at an early age.  His father worked for Eastman Kodak, and was involved in the film business for 45 years. Because of this, Robert has always had an affinity towards photography.  He was holding a camera in his hand practically as soon as he could walk, and was exposed to a vast selection of photographic SLRs over the years.

 

 

In his youth, Robert's dreams to become a professional photographer were put on hold when he discovered that he was allergic to dark room chemicals.  Instead, he decided to pursue a career in information technology, but his passion and love for the creative arts never dulled over the years.  It wasn't until the introduction of digital cameras, that Robert was able to revisit his passion and re-enter the world of photography.  Due to his background in digital tech, he was able to utilize his software skills for photo manipulation to create ad-quality stills, which has allowed him to excel in the commercial world of photography.

 

 

Over the years, Robert has never seen photography as work.  He has mastered his skills as a self-taught professional through his perseverance and dedication to the art.  He can shoot any genre of photography, although he specializes in commercial, sports and family portraiture.

 

 

Robert is known for shooting in a comfortable atmosphere.  He enjoys working with people and bringing out their unique personality in a shot.  He believes that in order to take a timeless portrait, you need to get to know the person you are capturing, making the shoot in itself a truly individualized and personal experience. His creativity and enthusiasm makes him a pleasure to work with for any project.
